Barney played in the MLB as an infielder and won the Rawlings Gold Glove Award and the Fielding Bible Award in recognition of his defensive skills at second base.
As a standout pitcher for the Oregon State Beavers, Postlewait helped lead the team to the College World Series. He then went on to play professional baseball, honing his skills at the highest levels of the game.
